PA Uniform Construction Codes – As of 14 February 2022, the Commonwealth of PA is using the 2018 IRC (this pertains to 1 and 2 family residential homes). Code compliance is the responsibility of the AHJ (authority having jurisdiction); this means that each city, borough, township, etc. is responsible for enforcing residential building codes, issuing building permits, etc.
